Just because the active you were talking to thought you would fit in, doesn't mean the rest of the chapter did. Since you made it to Sisterhood round you must've been a decent fit, but the chapter decided to put other women on their bid list because they were a better fit based on their voting criteria.

I know that's probably not what you want to hear, and I'm sorry that you're hurting right now, but please do not take this personally. It is not a reflection on you. If you do join a house, you'll also have to make hard cuts and you'll end up cutting women just like you because there's only so many people a house can invite back.

To answer your other question, sure, go ahead and rerush. Don't necessarily have your heart set on this particular house this time around, but who knows, it may work out. If you want to increase your chances, make friends with girls in this house, and improve your grades this semester.

Please don't take it personally. 1) It is about numbers, and we are told how many we must cut. 2) It's not that you weren't good enough or wouldn't fit, it's just that others had more actives pulling for them and we had to make cuts. 3) And as already stated, that active loved you but she's just one voice of many and lots of girls are loved equally as much.

I’m sorry. I felt the same way freshman year. Everyone I talked with at a house for sisterhood was sweet and we had some really heartfelt convo, but I got cut.
