I think Tri Delta chose to have more rounds, but with less PNMs each round. Or maybe chose to invite more PNMs back idk, but that wouldn't make it a rough year since chapters choose how many to drop based on the last 4 years of recruitment data, plus/minus a certain percentage.

You can't "choose" to invite more PNMs back. Return rates tell you how many you are permitted to ask back. They probably chose to have more parties with a smaller number of PNMs.

You can’t choose to invite back more. The whole point of RFM is a minimum to cut so chapters aren’t stringing along girls they won’t bid to seem more desirable. They can cut more PNMs if they have better return rates or are a new chapter without historical return rates for example but with the understanding that they may not make quota if they go against RFM.

Ah, that's my mistake then. I knew you could cut more than your return rate number, but I didn't know if you could cut fewer or not. Good to know!
Still not sure why people make judgments based on how many rounds a house did today then.

Kind of feel like this makes sense for rank groups, obviously is varies between groups
aphi/chi o (feel weird about putting them here)/dg/kid/pi phi
axo/Aephi/agd/fuzzy/theta (surprised they aren’t higher but I think they’re slipping)/zeta
Gamma phi/kappa
Aopi/dz/tri delt (tough year for them? Idk)
