Pretty much this. There's so many PNMs going through recruitment, houses can't afford to be choosy. Most Actives that don't recruit choose not to recruit and instead help with recruitment behind the scenes. I've done both sides and they both have their pros and cons.

Plus it wouldn't make any sense. PNMs can obviously search hashtags and see what women in the sorority look like, chapter-wide photos and composites exist, and if a chapter was that shallow they probably wouldn't be giving bids to the women you claim they're hiding in the basement in the first place...

From what I know via a friend in fuzzy they didnt hide girls in the basement- but just pulled a bunch of girls from recruiting so they didnt even go. I mean I'd assume they keep girls they think are stronger recruiters in- but she herself said she "doesnt even think they kept all the cuter ones in". Personally I think they have some great girls but also (even from my friends view) have been gaining more girls who care too much- "alpha phi wannabes". I do not think at all they are all sweethearts- I've had some bad experiences with them so this chapter leaves a bad taste in my mouth personally but some are chill af so take that with a grain of salt.
