kappa and dz self rank

by: Yes

Just found out that DZ and Kappa are BOTH having parties every single round today. Not even aopior aephi has to do that this year. Really goes to show much they have been self ranking this semester. Putting themselves over chapters like gamma phi agd and even zeta. Embarrassing, the pnms have spoken and we have our bottom chapters.

Some chapters make the decision to have more parties with you were PNM‘s. This works well particularly when the chapter has less space to recruit. It also works well with some chapters will have few were members to recruit so they are not double rushing the PNM‘s.
Lots of reasons.

But dz had the largest parties (over 60) and the most number of rounds which means they were dropped the most. Stop trying to fight this you guys

You still clearly don’t get how this works. PNMs don’t drop houses, they rank them. There are many reasons why a PNM might not return to a chapter. They could have ranked a chapter that also chose to drop them. If a PNM has open spots on their schedule where a chapter they ranked could be, it means they were dropped. Even chapters without historical return rates (which is how RFM is calculated) like Kappa can still cut PNMs. Most actives never see their sorority’s final ranked invite list or know their chapter’s return rates. We need to stop spreading misinformation to PNMs.

Can you please stop trying to game the system and figure out recruitment tactics that some actives don’t even understand? Having more PNMs over fewer parties or more parties with fewer PNMs are just two ways of managing how many PNMs there are. There are even recruitment counselors who didn’t understand that at first and thought PNMs were being robbed of a chance at going back to houses.

GET A LIFE! It is SO PATHETIC with people like you looking for ways to make other groups look bad. You clearly do not understand the way the system works, and having more parties is simply one way to spread out your numbers so you get to spend time with fewer girls each session.
BOTH Kappa and DZ are actually doing quite well number-wise this season—I know because I’m on Panhellenic.

So PLEASE give your nastiness a rest...IT GETS OLD.

It’s true that you have more parties depending on retention rates but those numbers can change by next week, pnms have to drop many houses as well as houses having drop many girls so going into the 2nd round isn’t as big of a deal. It all comes down to how well the pnms and chapter connects so honestly putting people down for their rates shouldn’t matter because in the end the chapters are still getting new and valuable members!

Not sure about dz but I know for kappa based on how it was when zeta reestablished that they don’t have recruitment data for kappa yet so they have to take back more girls each round regardless of how well they are recruiting

that may have been true when they got re-installed last year but now that they’re officially doing formal recruitment they’re in the same data line as every sorority on campus

Absolutely correct, plus the fact that every chapter has their own rules, in addition to the NPC rules.

I really think PHA should do some sort of recruitment workshop or have an FAQ so that people know how the process really works. But if anyone wants more info, it's on the NPC website. It's actually super interesting how it all works. (Until you're on the recruitment team and drowning in spreadsheets.)
