waiting to hear from rush chair

Do fraternities normally let you know that you aren't getting a bid or do they just cut you off completely? Thought I would be hearing from the rush chair today but still nothing...

If you thought you would be hearing from them today and they still haven’t contacted you, then they’ve probably cut you off. Sorry bud.

Did he told you “I will let you know by tomorrow” or something like that or did you just asume he would let you know? Because those are two different scenarios

The rush chair came up to me at the prior rush event and specifically asked me to put my number in his phone.. I thought this was a good sign considering the next event was invite only.. that's why I was surprised when I ended up not getting contacted at all.
