I am going to rush fraternities next year, and I wanted to how much does it cost to be in a fraternity here. Is it really expensive. I want to join one of the bigger fraternities. Please be honest.

it depends on which house you join. It's usually around 1,000 I'm guessing and i don't know if that includes when you pay to go to formals like in Nashville and Gatlinburg.

the average cost is around $650 or so per semester. now some fraternities are even more (close to $1000 a semester) and some slightly less. you are also going to pay a one time pledging and initiation fee which vary based on the fraternity. also, this does not cover the "refreshments" fee which you pay under that table each semester and wont cover formal for most fraternities. dont judge a fraternity based off how much dues are. pick a fraternity you think you will fit in well with.

Think of it like this. The more popular and bigger the fraternity the more expensive dues will be.
