fraternity tiers
by: tiersI've noticed that there is a pretty diverse amount of information about the tier system for the sororities at OSU, but what about the fraternities? I know about the "big four", but how about the rest, like Delt, Fiji, SAE, etc.? Can we pin down a system for the guys?

Both of these posts are pretty accurate. Not much more to be said. If you are rushing in the fall don't buy in to all of the BS posts on this site that are 4 paragraphs long.

The rankings will change a lot next year. TKE is graduating a lot of their seniors and the guys that most of the sororities love, so they will kind of be a new fraternity next year.
Sigma Chi is really small right now since most of their upperclassmen deactivated, so their time in top tier has ended.
Phi Psi is now a huge fraternity at OSU and is the only fraternity out of the big 4 not in trouble right now, but with the state of greek life right now who knows how long that will last. Also I wouldn't join here if you don't have money. They pride themselves on thinking they are richer then everyone else.
Sammy- no one ever knows how much trouble they are truly in, so its hard to judge their status.
Delt, Phi Delt, and Kappa Sig are solid fraternities just not necessarily top tier. They have some good guys though.
I really can't comment on the rest of the fraternities at greek life, but join the fraternity that you feel most comfortable around the guys and don't worry about rankings.

Actually they aren't in trouble at all with the university. You are a GDI so how would you even know?

The most accurate rankings on this site except I still have no idea who is delta sig. Going into next year Phi Psi is the #1 fraternity and TKE is a close second.

TKE ( and PhiPsi are both going to explode next year bc they will have the guys SigChi normally gets)
Delt
Kappa Sig
ATO & Phi Delt (both dont have block partners)
SAE
Pike (if they get a good pledge class theyll move up)
AEPi (same as SigEp, just bc they have a lot doesnt mean theyre good)
Sigma Chi (theyll be back up in the middle if they recruit well, but not 30 man chapter can be any higher)

TKE is losing a lot of seniors, so their numbers will be around 60 or maybe a little bit more going into next year. Phi Psi will be around 140 members. I feel like you can make an argument for Delt of Phi Delt to be above TKE next year.

After Fall Semesters the rankings will probably change because some fraternities will have to move up.TKE and Phi Psi will be at a completely different level then everyone else since they won't have to recruit against Sammy and Sigma Chi for recruits

Top: Phi Psi/Tke
Upper: Delt/Phi Delt
Mid: Sig Chi/Kappa Sig
Lower Mid: ATO/SAE
Lower: AEPi/Pike/Delta Sig
Bottom: Sig Ep/Pike/Fiji
Everyone else.

Does Phi Delt even do anything relevant? They have no block partner and aside from them hanging out with like 2 good sororities they're not even a presence...

I'd have to agree that aside from the top few fraternities, the difference between "upper" "middle" and "bottom" is not really evident.. most fraternities can do things with most sororities with the right planning

hi. phidelt isnt relevant. let me repeat, phidelt isnt relevant. they dont have that nice of a house, rush that great of guys, mix with that many sororities, or have a good philanthropy event, "A"lpha"K"appa"A"lpha, they have have nothing and are IRRELEVANT
