Going underground means no sorority can register any event with the frat, so yes it makes a HUGE impact. Also, an underground fraternity will die within 2 years, as there will be no more new members. Sounds like yours is kicked off to me.

Many sororities have been doing unofficial paired events with underground fraternities. Every relevant fraternity is going underground, the only people on this site trying to make it seem like underground is a bad thing are those in lower tier frats like ato and Fiji who think they can benefit from Greek life dying.

How is kap cig not a frat anymore. They’re top tier. Didn’t they get a new pledge class and still throwing parties?

Look at the suspensions of the top tier sororities. The university is smart enough to realize that these underground frats are still operating, so they’re suspending sororities for attending these parties. You’re an idiot if you think being underground is the same thing as on campus.

So clearly that means these girls in top tier sororities will just stop hanging out with their friends and start hanging out with weirdo on campus frats like ato and Fiji now right?? You can’t take away the biggest partying population at Ohio state just by kicking off the top tier frats. Top tier recruits won’t want to hang out with losers in other chapters and will join the underground frats with brothers they actually like, where girls will still go, because the guys are better quality. Freshman won’t join places they don’t fit in with brothers who aren’t cool just because the university says they have to.

Right, but the ones kicked off currently werent the best houses anyway and there’s still plenty of diversity left in the on campus frats, so why would someone pay to be underground? The two best frats, being such chi and phi psi are still on campus so that point is irrelevant.

yeahhh right but frats like sig chi, phi psi, and k sig are all still suspended and I highly doubt the university has any intention of taking them off soon. I guarantee all of them will go underground; they're not just going to sit around and waste their college experience away doing nothing

The same thing was said about Sammy 4 years ago... with more frats underground that leaves less above ground options for girls to go to. They will all eventually either drop or go to underground’s anyway, especially considering that that is the direction that most relevant frats are going anyway. Keep telling yourself opposite but this is the truth.

Girls dont want to go to frats other than tke/ksig/pkp/sig chi/sammy. If you joined a mid tier sorry you arent gonna benefit, because again you joined a midtier. Girls will start to drop sororitys if change isnt made

Why does anyone assume lower tier frats want to have events with top tier sororities with all the other frats getting kicked off? A lot of them don’t vibe with those type of girls and are fine with the sororities they already associate with. Not every frat is dying to be with top sororitys just sayin
