Just disaffiliate. The U has no legal way to keep groups from affiliating. Colorado has done this, and are doing fine

The IFC @ University of Colorado-Boulder has been disaffiliated from the University for years and they have been doing very well for themselves with rush, parties and have more Alumni involvement. I would reach out to them for advice.

Penn State Greeks keep bring this up and after the low turn out of fraternity rush this spring semester and all the restrictions that were place on them, they are seriously considering it.
