by: questionHow does the process with Kappa really work. I too dropped out before pref. round. It's just so much to take in in 5 days to make a huge decision. Kappa might be an option for me but I am worried if I put my heart into it and get cut again not sure how much rejection I can handle. And really how likely are ones chances of finding a house during informal.

I put my heart and soul into formal and it didn’t work out. Then rushed ZTA when they colonized and it broke my heart again and I felt like such a failure and like I wasn’t good enough. It ruined my mental health for a long time.
Now as an active, I would say if you need to: Wait. I hated myself for putting myself back out there to get ripped apart again and it personally was a lot to handle (recruitment always is).
If you feel ready and like you can deal with it, try Kappa. But know they will not just take anyone and it’s not an easy bid process either.
You’ll go to their events, then likely be interviewed, then get calls about receiving bids.
