odds as a junior
by: juniorSo, as a sophomore now I regret not joining a sorority. What are my options? I know I just missed formal recruitment. Is it too late to get involved with Greek life? Jw. I’m not dying to join, but I love the idea of having a sisterhood.

First, KKG will definitely be recruiting Juniors.
There will also likely be a few houses doing informal recruitment. If you have friends in chapters already, maybe talk to them or see if any chapters advertise events for this semester.
You can also do informal in the fall as a Junior and see how it goes. Again, you'll have the best chance if you already have connections, but it's not necessary. If you think you'll be around for a 5th year, bring that up too.
Lastly, you can do formal recruitment next year as a Junior. You'll probably face automatic cuts in some chapters, but if you have excellent grades and a good personality, you'll likely still get a bid. Several Juniors go through every year.

You're definitely not too old. You just need to be more open minded and know going In that most houses will favor younger girls since they will have more time in the chapter. However if you're interested at All, definitely check out informal. Your chances are better because you will get to know girls and not be cut so early simply from age. It's possible you will not find somewhere or it won't be for you, but you should absolutely give it a try.

This girl is full of it. I joined my chapter as a junior & couldn’t be happier. Try informal this semester & fall.
