kkg

If I don't get a house I like this year I'm going to just rush again as a sophomore instead of looking into KKG. I want the whole big/little experience and want a social calendar this upcoming semester that is decent and they can't give me that. PLUS, their chapter dues are crazy expensive!!!!

I'm not a pnm but it just seems like kkg so far really doesn't have the pull that zta did when they came on. haven't been hearing much buzz about them besides some random posts on this site that are obviously kkg-made. It really does suck cuz if it was like any other chapter coming on it might be different since they wouldn't have the dark cloud of hazing still hanging around here, also the feeling that no one wanted them since the council voted no but osu said lol deal with it. Wasn't too against them coming back, wasn't a fan either, but it seems like all these things are adding together to create an organization that at this point seems kind of take it or leave it. they will probs end up with girls who got cut from nearly everywhere who will risk their bid to just cut losses and rush kkg. if that happens, it will just be another lower tier house so there isn't even much to gain from thaat since theres still the possibility they won't get a bid, then girls are left with nothing. just my thoughts.

I'm very removed from this situation but in my opinion, I think once kkg has their group of colony members, we should give them all the benefit of assuming they'll be nothing like the old kkg chapter until they prove otherwise. That being said, it is a red flag in my eyes that everyone seemed to come to the consensus that it was too soon for them to come back, but that vote was sort of bulldozed over. I have no idea how much of that decision was pushed by kkg nationals, but if they were the force behind it rather than osu as a whole, that's very concerning in terms of how they'll run the establishment of their colony. but we shouldn't punish their new members for the actions of past kkg.

Colonization is a tough process to go through. When ZTA came, about 700 girls interviewed and went to events: they accepted 200. If you're a legacy, you're pretty much in. Another factor is ability to pay or contribute to significant growth in other ways. For example, if you or your parents are well connected in Columbus. KKG will be even tougher, because of the prestige associated with their chapters nationally and locally.
#8by: Sorry Kappa
You have no more prestige nationwide than any other group, except in your mind and what you manufacture on social media. Every sorority has "most sought after" chapters , middle chapters, and chapters that struggle every year. You are no exception. Please, just stop with the elite and prestige false news.
