pnm lists
by: PNM LISTSSo just like pnm’s might have lists of houses that they like before rush starts, is it true that sororities also have lists of PNMs that they want to recruit? Is it all based on looks & gpa?? When PNMs are told to keep and open mind and trust the process, do sororities do the same? Would love to hear it straight from ACTIVES here. Who’s brave enough to tell the truth?

Truth is, we do have girls we know about in advance - might be legacies, might be girls we know from high school or from the dorms. We also get lists in advance of who is coming through and we stalk social media to get a sense of who might be a fit for us. that's why it's important that PNMs keep their social channels updated and ensure they're a good reflection of what you're like. but just like you guys judging us by tiers, if someone looks amazing on Insta and they come through and are jerks or strange or wallflowers, then we cut them.

That's a really good explanation of what we do as actives. And it's definitely not all based on looks and GPA. How well you fit in is really the deciding factor at most if not every chapter.
As for keeping an open mind, I'm not sure how that applies to the sororities. Plenty of actives might be sad if their rush crush doesn't come back to their house, but they get over it pretty quickly. The thing to understand is we meet way more PNMs than you meet actives, and our nights are so much longer so most of us don't have time to focus on just one PNM. It's an exhausting few weeks and we just want to make it to Bid Day too.
It kind of sounds like you're looking for some secret reveal but honestly there really isn't one. It's pretty straightforward.

With legacies, is the process different? I’m kinda confused on whether or not it helps you get into the sorority

Depends on the house. I think all but one chapter here are required to give legacies an invitation to sisterhood round and then they can drop you after that. Some chapters are pressured to never drop legacies more than others, but all houses can still drop legacies if they want to. Some chapters also require that legacies who attend preference round be at the top of the bid list.
So it helps, but usually if you already fit in with that house to begin with.

No they DO NOT. It's not a guarantee. Nor should a legacies think they have it made they can get cut even during pref round each house is different. Before or rt after 3rd round is when most house cut their legacies if they aren't house worthy

Technically no one can get cut after pref round. You're just higher or lower on the bid list.
I get what you mean but just so PNMs know how it works

Sometimes GPA can make or break you too :/ unfortunately. If you had a good time at a chapter you may be dropped if your gpa isn’t high enough. It’s beyond the chapters control, and the system automatically will move you lower if you have a similar score to other girls with higher GPA’s. Just how PNM’s tank the sororities in their order, chapters have to give PNM’s scores and that’s just how it is. GPA cuts happen most after meet the chapters, so if you’re incited back to sisterhood then you have probably moved past the GPA cuts.
