by: HmmI’m just curious if anyone knows of any schools where aopi is actually good?? The other two major public non commuter schools in Ohio (Miami and OU) have aoii as their worst chapter as well according to my friends in Greek life there. Kentucky is the same way. Is this just a coincidence, a regional weakness in the Midwest, or are they not strong really anywhere?

They are bad at a lot of schools because their nationals focuses on having quantity over quality. They have tons of chapters, but their nationals doesn't take the time and effort to build these chapters up and make them top.
Like even though Kappa, Tridelt, and Dg don't have as many chapters nationally, you can tell their nationals spend time developing them. They always have beautiful houses on campuses and their nationals are super involved with them.
Organizations always come down to their nationals thats why its so important to join nationally strong chapters and not just chapters that are top at the school.

They’re supposed to be a top chapter at Slippery Rock and a solid mid at U Toledo (from my understanding). I know Toledo isn’t quite as big as OU and OSU and Slippery Rock is a much smaller campus, but there are a few chapters that are thriving up north. I know some people at Kenyon (which is TINY) who went to an AOPi presentation when they tried to colonize there and were actually pretty impressed with them. Could be a numbers game (quantity v quality), could be they do better on smaller campuses where their chapters could mind themselves more
