rushing as a soph

i'm a transfer thinking about going through sorority recruitment. will houses drop me for being a sophomore or is it normal for sophs to rush??

I did that and got asked back by all the top houses. As long as you're what they're looking for you'll be fine!

many houses are tougher on sophomores; need better grades, involvement, looks. But if you're a good fit or have connections in the house, you should be okay.

^Exactly. It's very doable but it's harder. You have to be a better fit than the freshman who would otherwise have your spot. Every house takes a few sophomores though and plenty take a Junior if they're the right fit.

During recruitment, definitely tell the women you speak to if you're planning on sticking around for a 5th year btw. The main issue with sophomores is they graduate earlier than the freshman so numbers get distorted (making recruitment and budgeting more complicated).
