open block

For the frats with no sorority block pairings, what does "open block" mean? Will it just be the guys in the frat at it?

most fraternities are closed off to everybody except the sorority they're blocking with for the first hour or so and then open up to pretty much every other girl. so fraternities with open block will "typically" have non sorority girls or those that didn't feel like going to the block they're paired with
