fall semester rushing as a junior

by: JR

I'm about to end my Sophomore year at OSU (it was my first year here though because I transferred) and I realized this year after actually looking into it that I should have joined greek life a long time ago. I want to rush next semester, but I will be a Junior. Is it too late for me as a Junior to actually have a chance of getting a bid/will it seriously hurt my chances because I'm a junior?

Your chances are definitely slim just because fraternities usually want to bid sophomores in the fall so they have more time to contribute. However I know of a couple juniors that have gotten bids at respectable fraternities so definitely rush and see for yourself

I can't say for sure as I don't know every fraternities rush policy but just using logic I'd say your best shot at a frat that is even the slightest bit competitive is definetly at mid tiers (beta, Fiji, ato etc.) and upper lowers (chi phi, phi tau, zbt etc.). Really lower frats that no one has ever heard of will bid you in a second

I think only a ato would think they're much better than the other 2, certainly a little better, but not much better no
