pledging ceremony vs initiation
by: HeyI heard that there are 2 different ceromonies for these. What is the difference between the two, besides that they occur at different times?
#2 by: Seriously people?
Since no one wants to take this honest question seriously, I'll answer it for you. Every chapter does this differently. Once you commit yourself in the pledging ceremony, you are making a promise to the chapter. In initiation, you become a full member and will get to see the entire ritual process. The pledging ceremony will be loosely based on ritual. Both ceremonoes, most chapters usually wear whites. Ask your new member educator if you want more specific answers for your chapter.

You're also not a real member after the pledging ceremony meaning you could still potentially join another chapter if you were to drop. But after initation you are never allowed to join another PHA chapter. Initation is also when you stop being a "new member" and become an active sister. Also I know my chapter keeps things separated from new members, you don't have access to all of the stuff actives do so once you get initiated you get all of that as well!
