do people usually get their third choice?
by: PNMI love 2 but am iffy on my third. Should I list all 3 or just put the 2 I love?

For the love of god, MAXIMIZE YOUR OPTIONS.
Mathematically, you are more likely to get into your first two choices if you list the third.
That being said, no PNM is 'above' any house. All houses have amazing women and you would be lucky to be a member of any of them.
If you get your third choice on Bid Day, try it out for a month. I promise, trust the system and you'll find your own. Plenty of people end up falling in love with houses that they originally disliked.

This isn't true at all. Maximizing your options does not change your position on the bid list for the ones you like. Our rho gam said thats just a rumor people spread so people don't suicide

It doesn't change your position, but because of quota plus, you are more likely to get your top to choice if you maximize. You aren't eligible for quota plus if you don't maximize. So yes, maximizing your options does give you a better chance of your top choice(s).

Quota additions are VERY rare. You're more likely to be on your last choices bid list (and therefore receive a bid from them) them be a quota addition as a house you actually like

Any house that is above quota on bid day has quota additions. So I guess it depends on what your definition of "rare" is, but it happens. Also depends on what your three houses are and how quickly they reach quota. My advice is don't worry about it, just know it's a thing.

Exactly! I know so many people who got their first choice and ended up hating it because they chose it for the wrong, superficial reasons.
Just be yourself and it'll be fine. Every house st OSU has something to offer. If you think ia house needs improvement, then be the improvement it needs
