You can, but your options are very limited. Lower tier chapters might offer you a bid but top and mid tiers won't.

I rushed as an older sophomore and ended up in what is considered a better sorority and got all my top picks. Try to rush this fall if you can and do informal. With that said I remember when I went through I met an amazing girl in Theta that told me she rushed as a junior and obviously things worked out for her!

Rushing as a sophomore, even an "older" sophomore, is TOTALLY different than rushing as a junior. The girl in Theta likely knew someone.

I rushed last year during formal as a junior and I got a bid. I was also reluctant to go through recruitment so late in the game but love being involved in Greek life and don't regret my decision at all. It's too late to sign up for formal recruitment now but if you aren't going through formal recruitment, a number of houses will have informal recruitment events shortly thereafter. Informal recruitment tends to draw older girls so it could be a great way to get involved in Greek life!

Seconding this! I rushed as a junior as well. You just have to be prepared to take heavy cuts if you don't have connections already.

How do you find out about the informal events? Do you have to know someone?
