why did i get dropped from theta?

I have a 4.0 and I thought that our conversation went pretty well. I talked to three girls. What do they drop based on?

most sororities will not be very open about how they score and make cuts, but simply having great grades will not get you in. Not being in theta, I couldn't tell you the reason, but on here i've seen (not from theta particularly) but just in general girls have said that their sororities have cut pnms for ridiculous reasons (i.e. "coffee breath" and "having the same last name as another girl in the chapter) so don't take it too personally. Maybe it just wasn't a perfect fit and maybe you'll find your greek home somewhere else. best of luck

1) Possibly because you are still obsessing over it nearly 4 days later.
2) You will never know because membership selection is based in ritual.
3) There are a lot of sororities - if you obsess over why you got dropped from each house, you're going to drive yourself crazy and you're not going to have a good time.

Theta is a popular house for many reasons, and hardly anyone puts them in their bottom 4. Because they recruit very well, it also means they have to let more women go each round compared to other sororities according to PHA/NPC rules. All of this means that a lot of people get cut, and it is very difficult to find that line of who gets cut and who didn't. If it's any consolation, you were probably very close to that line.

To be honest, you'll probably get harsher cuts on Saturday and you need to try to not stress about it. There are plenty of awesome houses at Ohio State. Don't take anything personally. I'm sure PNMs that were invited back to Theta were cut from houses you were invited back to. There are a lot of variables, so just try to have as much fun as you can and keep an open mind.
