theta selectiveness?
by: curious?Going into Theta, I thought from what I knew of them that they would be a good fit for me. While there, my conversation seemed to go well and I related to the girls on multiple topics and the girls were really nice. I thought coming out that it had gone well but ended up getting cut. My gpa is higher than their average so that doesn't really explain it and I'm just wondering what kind of things they're selective about? Not bashing them, just curious.

i'm almost 99% certain it wasn't a "mistake." there were a ton of other girls who had better conversations and better connections than you did. and thats okay. i just dont want pnms getting this notion that because you got cut means it was a mistake. in reality, it is NOT a mutual selection process. the sororities choose you way more than you choose them. move on and focus on all of the other houses that wanted you back. good luck

happened to me last year. good gpa, Thought the convo was great and what not, but they can cut you for any reason they want, even superficial looks and common name, and if they will cut you on something silly, then they really weren't the fit you thought they were. (this applies to all sororities and not just theta, theta as well as all chapters are great so just find where you fit) just cliche trust the process and you'll find a place that accepts you for who you are. Theta is decently hard to get into. don't let it get you down.

Don't go crying to your rho gam, there's nothing they can do. Houses go through hundreds of girls, the sad fact is somethings mistakes happen and good girls slip through the cracks but there's nothing anyone can do.
