from what I've heard, pi phi has been top for a while, and a phi has only become relevant in the past couple years, like since kappa got kicked off. So opinion probably comes from how old the op is and which people they know in which sorority

I feel like guys see a phi as being top, while girls will be more likely to say pi phi is better.

I've heard alpha phi tends to recruit gorgeous girls regardless of their personality. So boys tend to think a phi is top based off looks, while girls tend to think pi phi is top based off chapter as a whole. Just a general assumption though
