how hard is it to get into a party as a freshman?

How hard is it to get into a frat party as a freshman? I heard half are open and half are closed. Which frats are more exclusive with their parties and which ones are more open?

If you know or went to high school with the guys you could be fine. Generally they are closed though

If you're rushing and the frat likes you then they'll invite you to open parties/block throughout first semester

Well the cool freshmen will be rushing all of first semester and partying it up..you can't PLEDGE until second semester, you can rush all you want first semester
