round 1
by: Hi_againWhat factors decide the invites and cuts to round 2 after round 1?

The first factor is grades. The second is rank. It's hard for sororities to get to know you in the first round, so cutting by these factors is the easiest. If you're a grade risk (below a 3.0 typically - some sororities cut even higher) or they already have large sophomore (and more so junior classes), you'll be more likely to be cut.
UPPERCLASSMEN: Sophomores, especially with high GPAs, have a pretty decent shot anywhere. Juniors, you'll take heavy cuts first round, but if you maximize your options, you should be okay.
