Is there a significant difference in consideration for people who rush a frat first semester vs people who rush second semester. I'm asking because I know freshmen can't get a bid first semester.

A lot more people will be rushing, but that's about it. If you're a decent enough person who they'll get along with you'll get a bid.

For Frats it's better to do it in the fall for sororities it's better to do it in the spring. Being Greek during football season is worth the extra semester of dues. Also do you really want all your pledge brothers to be a year younger than you?

Depends on how much you actually fit in w the guys. If you wanna join a house where most of the guys are cooler than you, wait until the spring so they won't get to know you as much. If you wanna join a place you fit in, the fall will help you narrow that down
