do sororities ever kick girls out?
by: freshmanI'm nervous about joining because i heard little things like swearing in social media posts or wearing certain outfits out or by girls just being catty in general. i thought if you get in from rush your in for good?

Yes, the pledge period is the toughest. Do not make your sorority look bad and do not be rude to any members (well you shouldn't do that anyways, but be especially careful during your pledge period not to step on any toes, even by accident)
Sorry about your experience though. I am extremely fortunate my Big talked to me about toning it down a bit and that my sorority decided to give me a 2nd chance because I for sure made a lot of mistakes Freshman year.

There is a different between "getting along with" and "being pleasant with". As a pledge, you had better be respectful and pleasant to each and every member of your sorority, whether active or pledge. Obviously you don't have to be BFFs with everyone, but they are all your sisters and you better act like it, especially before you're fully initiated.

Got kicked out of my sorority for this reason. Be good during new member period, because that's the easiest time to kick out pledges.
