Phi Kappa Tau is super laid back, they're some of the nicest guys on campus.

Hit up as many houses as you can. That's the answer to pretty much every "what house is for me?" question on here.

Check out LXA very laid back, and they are the largest fraternity nationally.

I think almost every house has chill guys, but kappa sig, SAE, and beta are generally regarded as the biggest tryhards (beta might only be my opinion, it's not talked about too much). If you're looking for smaller ones that aren't talked about on this site that have a decent social life, check out sigma Pi, delta sig, d chi, ZBT, and phi tau.

By decent social life I mean better than most GDIs but still not even close to the top houses.

If you want one of the bigger houses that are talked about on this site, ATO and phi delt seem to me to be the ones that care the least about trying to be the best on campus.

People in different social groups will have a different opinion than me. My opinion was formed mostly by being rush chair for one of the smaller fraternities I listed and seeing where some guys that didn't join my house ended up, and partially by bars/sorority formals/when I went through rush.

My roommate is in FIJI and from the events he's taken me to, FIJI seems well rounded but still can throw down with the best of them. Used to be too student org focused when I rushed though but that was a few years ago.
