10 main takeaways from the spring 16 semester
by: SPRING 16
FIVE FOR FRATS
1. Certain fraternities like Kappa Sig, SAE, AEPi and to some degree sammy are all rising; some at faster rates than others
2. Certain fraternities, mainly traditional top tiers, are beginning to fall a bit, like TKE(falling faster) and Sig Chi (falling slower), while some mid tiers like ATO are falling as well.
3. Kappa Sig has officially surpassed TKE and is now number 3, and even number 2 in the eyes of many. TKE is falling but is still top tier for now.
4. SAE has joined the top tier and has pushed delt out of the top 5, though there appears to be more of a big 6 now
5. Sammy is back, and though they are not what they once were, they are rising and have the potential to re-enter the top tier when they get their house back
FIVE FOR sororityS
6. Pi Phi is still the top house, but DG has made a strong push and may be able to dethrone the angels as the queen by as soon as next spring depending on their spring class.
7. Aphi has officially taken over the 3 spot amongst sororities
8. KD has officially surpassed Theta in the eyes of most people affiliated with greek life
9. Chi O is still the top of the middle tier for now, though many tri delts (and some frats) believe tri delt is better than them
10. Zeta is back, but is still solidly placed in the lower middle tier for now until they have events with frats and can prove themselves as better (definitely better than DZ, AEPhi, and AOPi as of now though)

I think LXA should be in the mix. I know they are not top tier but with each pledge class they are getting better and better. With a strong national program LXA has the largest number of current actives of any fraternity in the nation and averages the largest number of members per fraternity
If they keep getting bigger and better PC year and year like they have I think they have an easy path into the top tier if not the top.
