tiers, why do you care?

Seriously why do any of you give a damn about tiers and ranks? You should join the organization that you get along with their brothers or sisters best not how high their ranked. I joined a mid tier frat despite getting a bid from one of the top ones on campus. I didn't care i liked the guys at the frat i rushed better. And it hasn't affected me at all. I still go to great parties, hang out with cute girls, and overall just have a great time. So really i'm just curious why do any of you care about ranks or tiers?
