fall rush

Are there any advantages/disadvantages in rushing during the fall versus the spring?

If you're an incoming freshman, you're not allowed to rush in the fall until Spring Semester. If you're a sophomore or above, spots during informal recruitment are more difficult to get, as there are dozens girls competing for maybe 4-5 spots. In addition, only a select few sororities participate in informal recruitment in the fall.
