If the girl was drunk, they will be on probation at a minimum. President Drake is cracking down on Greek Life, Alpha Phi just gave him another good reason to hate us. I wouldn't be surprised if they got kicked off.

We couldn't find her, we didn't know she fell out the window," the caller said. "We were looking for her around the house."

The callers also reported that Smith and others had been drinking earlier Wednesday evening. A caller said Smith had fallen onto a brick or concrete area, and appeared to have suffered injuries to her head and ankle.

According to a Greek housing standards document on Ohio State's fraternity and sorority life website, alcohol can be consumed in a fraternity or sorority house by individuals 21 or older in a room where at least one resident is 21. Alcohol cannot be present or consumed in common areas or rooms defined as academic space on chapter property.

Doesn't say whether or not they were drinking in the house though, so I'm not sure how it's relevant.

Regardless, I'm not sure why you people care when someone almost died from an accident. And it's nothing like Kappa, because this had nothing to do with hazing. Knock it off and be adults

because greek life here considers any form of underage drinking to be hazing

You're a such a buzzkill. It's an unfortunate accident. Don't act like nobody in your chapter has never been really drunk before. The girl was irresponsible for sure, but most of us have made the same decisions. And she was drinking at bars

there is 0 evidence alpha phi was involved with the drinking. She could have been at a friends house, at a bar, etc.

look, a girl is devastatingly hurt because of an accident. it shouldn't matter that she was drinking. if that's what concerns you, you should care a lot less about your moral high horse and more about a sacred human life. end of dicussion.

You guys are are extremely petty and small minded. Whether the cause was sleep walking, substance abuse or god forbid an attempt at self harm let's hope that the girl recovers fully. Instead of getting worked up over some arbitrary rule how bout you think how you would feel if that was your family member or best friend who got hurt?

I understand your point, and my heart absolutely goes out to the girl who was injured. But when you have a a situation where a member was critically injured in their chapter house, it affects the entire chapter. Chapter houses are already very strict on alcohol, and not to mention the insurance liability. Personally, my chapter's insurance policy is voided if alcohol is found on the premises.

Even worse, the girl wasn't found for a couple of hours (or so I've heard). That speaks volumes. You mean to tell me nobody found this poor girl who fell from the third floor immediately? That is unacceptable, and whomever is in charge of their chapter facility should really be fired.

This hurts the entire Greek community, because not only did we have a chapter who got kicked off for hazing, but now this incident. Everything will be a lot more strict because this is the second injury we've had on campus this academic year. So yeah, we are all concerned.

I believe the incident took place at like 3 am on a Wednesday. I'm sure that played a role in why it took so long to find her. You honestly sound very selfish. Your argument is basically "my fun will be impeded because this girl got hurt" and you're effectively making an unfortunate accident about yourself which is kind of psychotic.

Thank goodness she is expected to survive when she had life-threatening injuries (according to the news). However, I don't understand how she wasn't found by her sisters. Wouldn't you check all around the house, inside and outside, before you call the police?
