1 Phi Psi vs 16 Triangle

The hipsters versus the nerds. Phi psi comes in with a ton of firepower and the early favorite to win it all. The foundation of Phi Psi is in their house which is one of the best in the nation. However if triangle can pound the academics they might have a slim chance at pulling off the upset. Will this be the first ever 1 seed to lose in the first round?

Phi Psi advances with an easy win over the 8 members of triangle. The academics was just not enough to cancel out the ungodly number of "Macklemore" hair cuts on the Phi Psi roster.

5 Delt vs 12 ATO

Every year in the tournament there seems to be a 5 vs 12 upset. Delt comes in to the tournament being a squad that is universally known to be soft. They have an above average house, above average members, and are always flirting with being a higher caliber squad. However their lack of willingness to pound it with the big boys is what will always hold them back. ATO comes in as the huge underdog. In recent years ATO has taken a huge hit in losing there house which resulted in nobody ever really hearing of them. But don't sleep on these kids cause maybe they will be able to wake up the ATO of old to pull off the stunning upset.

Delt just barely squeaked past the opening round upset. ATO gave Delt all they could handle but the establishe Delt in the end was able to use their numbers and just overall spread to inch past ATO.

4 TKE vs 13 Beta

The once Goliath in TKE in recent years is becoming much more of the "David". TKE being one of the blue bloods of fraternities once upon a time has taken huge hits as of recent. They still come into this matchup with one of the best houses on campus, and the confidence and arrogance of years past which could be their biggest attribute but also their biggest weakness. Beta comes into this matchup a very young squad that is just about 10 years away from really making any noise. TKE is lucky with the draw that they got this year, cause if they were matched up with a chi phi or ATO or club ep, I believe it would e been an early exit for those TKEs.

It was an absolute beat down. That is meant it both a literal and figurative way, as multiple fights broke out during the matchup. These fights will leave TKE short handed for the upcoming match again the 5 seed in Delt.
