Worried transfer student

I’m a freshman rn at a large school on the east coast coming to pepp in the fall. I knew I wanted to transfer so I dropped my sorority before I initiated since they don’t have it at Pepperdine. Is rush hard to go through as a sophomore? I also keep hearing about how lame and boring the party scene is, is any of this true? Thx for any answers
