Frat Rankings from My POV

by:

Top 3: There are three tied for first because these three frats are all great, but excel in different areas.

Sig Chi is a top party frat and a good brotherhood frat. Stereotypical frat guys, but good dudes for the most part. A very cool house.

Sig Ep has the best grades on campus most every term in recent years. Dry house so parties are shaky at best, but have good guys overall. Brotherhood is pretty strong. Also best house location and one of the best looking houses.

Lambda is good for partying and philanthropy. Likely the easiest bid to get of the top houses, but the large numbers make it a fun party house and they always show out big to many philanthropies. Some people that get bids feel that they're on the outside of the fraternity due to it's large number of bids and lack of vetting during rush, so not great brotherhood. And also consistently terrible grades.

4. SAE has great parties, but I know way too many people who are uncomfortable going there. Good looking house, but pretty far from campus.
5. Pi Kapps have the best looking house with a big front yard. As close to the movie Animal House as you can get at OSU. Very frat and a top 3 party frat.

Why isn’t phi psi top?! They are just as big as everyone else.

SAE is way more fun than Sigs. Plus there house is nicer and roomier. They have a great yard and parking. Is Sigep on here just for grades? Soooooo not fun there. Lambda gets crap for a lot of stuff but their bids aren’t easy and of course they are “vetted”. Chapterbuilder (IFC Recruitment App) shows they gave out 52 bids and had 47 jump.

This isn’t “frat rankings” this is just who you think are the top three. If you’re doing a post like this then at least rank all houses

That's why I said from my point of view! I just wanted to share some information I have learned from the outside of greek life looking in. I'm afraid too many freshman will be coming on here, if there is no legitimate summer rush, and see the Sig Chi and Lambda guys lying. So this is what I have learned from my Greek friends who lived in the quad with me

Don’t be stupid. No one is on here “lying about how great they are”. Just people like you lying about houses you know nothing about. Your “Greek” friends are geed posers. Let the PNMs see for themselves. Only small houses have “easy” bids. Sigep has a good brotherhood as long as you make grades...otherwise they drop you...brother or not. SAE is solid and very popular. Deal with it.

Pikapp...douchey in a “we think we have muscles” sort of way. Haven’t met a pikapp I’d say was leader material.
Sigep...nice guys in a “yep, they’re nice but they don’t impress me” vibe.
SAE...love to party. Who needs brotherhood.
Sigs...these guys scare me...
Phi Delt...I don’t smoke
Lambda...this place is busy and if they choose your philanthropy it’s worth big money.
Phi Psi...I swear they just rush to fill the house. No personality.
SNu...I don’t know why but I like these guys.
Pike....oooooooo...they’re so pretty.
Acacia...I’m sorry. Not really Greek without letters.
Farmhouse...ditto
Dchi/theta chi/ato/du/ksig...all small. My house doesn’t do anything with them.
AEPi...don’t know any but their grades are better than Sigep
DTD/Beta...too new. But at least losing a house wasn’t an issue for them.
Sigma Pi...almost forgot that I almost forget them
Asig...are they still here?
