predictions for rush?
by: observerWell frat rush starts tomorrow. What are you predictions for this year? I think Sigma Nu rises to middle tier after this recruitment. They’ve done enough grades, outreach, and winning. Once they hit 50+ they’ll be a solid house.

Oh dear god. Why are you fixated on SN at what effing tier they are in?! It's like they are a sorority or something. They had 0 people for IFC tours, a weak showing at IFC Tabling and meh at BBQ. They are across the street from the largest frat on campus so generally they get overlooked. Best of luck. And please let's not get into which frat YOU think bids everything that breathes. If anything, Lambda is prob limiting their numbers. They JUST don't need a lot of people.

Went by phi psi at 4-ish and not a soul in site. Chairs up on tables etc. they must have decided to shut down cuz no one showed up. Sad. Oh well. They can always shotgun bid like they always do. Maybe they can just announce that everyone in Weatherford has a bid...sight unseen.

Love the name calling BTW. Shows the low level maturity typical when an organization simply bid you just to get another body. Drive around you porker and see where the crowds are or aren't.

You know it’s bad when most of the big chapters (Lambda, SigEp, DU, etc) are practically begging people to come by on the 2nd to last day. I’ve heard pretty much everyone is getting only 5-20 PNMs per rush event which is unheard of. Some serious conversations are going to have to happen this year.

Agree on the conversations. Not on the numbers or begging tho. At least not for some. Several houses had bowling at the MU last night. The Lambda event was packed. Pi Kapp was right after and they had good attendance as well. (My roommate works at the bowling alley.)

Really bad recruitment year for some. I think it might be the end for a few small houses. We didn’t see a lot of random traffic. Basically if you didn’t know someone or were referred by someone in our house, you didn’t rush. Usually there is always a few that are just curious and stop by and then turn out to be great. This year we pretty much found our own good recruits.

There were a lot of people at Phi Psi. You didn’t see anyone at Phi Delt because their rush event was a beach trip and they were in Newport all day.
