how much does gpa matter in sorority recruitment

I'm a second year transfer student going through formal recruitment this fall. I had a good high school GPA (3.7) and had a good first semester GPA (3.6) but ended up failing most of my classes this last semester with some issues I won't get into on here. Am I going to get dropped from everywhere because of this?

Just be honest and upfront! You’re a good student based on gpa, you just had a rough stretch. It’s absolutely worth rushing, they care what your gpa is while you’re in the sorority, not before.
