i want to join a frat please help

Hello, I’m an incoming freshman who really wants to get into a frat at OSU. Tiers aren’t exactly as important to me, but I was wondering: what are some decent frats that aren’t really hard to get a bid to? I’d just like to get into a lower middle or middle tier house pretty easily. How do I make a good impression during rush events? Thanks.

Well, if you’re legit than be yourself. Don’t try to impress anybody. Talk about your interests. You can an easy bid lots of places. Any medium size group or smaller is gonna want tons of new people. Bigger houses are tougher. They don’t have as many places open

Nice try. Most houses won’t bid unless they are certain you’ll except. Houses like Lambda, SAE,, Sigs, Sigep, etc prob gave out no more than 40 bids in fall each and had close to 40 accept. You do the math.

Top tier fraternity houses are considered "top tier" for a reason. Usually they have the best looking guys with the best personalities that "top tier" sororities want to hang with!!!! Hot girls like to hang with Hot guys and vice versa....its not rocket science. Top houses like Lambda will bid as many guys that "fit their personality", they don't have a maximum number in mind...If there are only 30 guys they think would be a great fit, that's all they bid if there are 80 guys they think will be a great fit they will bid 80...When you are a TOP fraternity like Lambda you can pick and choose and be very very selective in finding guys that you feel will contribute and be a great fit. If you are a lower tier fraternity which also usually means smaller membership you don't have that luxury of deciding who you want to bid and pretty much bid anyone that walks though the door to survive like Phi Psi did...when they went from 12 members to whatever when they took over a house that was kicked out.
