sorority comments

The organizations don't really work together. They all just spread rumors about each other. They haze and then blame others if they get caught. They all only look out for themselves and their own organizations. There really is no true Greek Community at Hofstra like there is at other schools. Being in a sorority can be great if you join the right one but don't expect to get along with any other members from other organizations. It works at first but eventually you'll grow distant due to lack of inter-sorority activities.

DPhiE - A nice group of girls who do a lot for the Hofstra community. They are the most active sorority on campus and won both homecoming and greekweek. Their girls are average looking, they recruit based on skills/personality, not looks. Sometimes they can be heard talking about each other since they're so big.

Phi Sig- Very nice girls. Unlike a lot of the sororities, they aren't stuck up and don't only talk to greek people. They have a rep of taking big girls, but this wasn't the case last year. Don't really show up to other orgs events, and don't go out as much, although there are a few that are always at the bar, legit always.

SDT - beautiful girls. They all have great hair, great bodies, great tans, etc. They are mainly a social sorority and very popular among the frats. They aren't involved on the Hofstra campus, and have a rep of only caring about mixers and tanning. They are stuck up, but some of them are surprisingly nice.

These comments are a perfect example if how there is no "PAN-Love" at Hofstra. The sororities like to spread rumors about each other and try everything to bring each other down. The sorority that tries to just focus on themselves and not smack talk is usually the one that is targeted. Hofstra Greek Life needs to be revamped.

There needs to be an intervention for the sororities at Hofstra, obviously these posts are all written by greeks. You girls are so disrespectful to one another

Assuming youre talking about Dphie, Aephi, and PhiEp getting in trouble. My Dphie friends told me that Dg wasn't to blame for their troubles though they won't say what was. Aephi's problems started from last year when they got in trouble. They got caught outright no one could've known where they were going that morning except a pledge or a sister. As for PhiEp who knows what they got caught for.

Dg ruffled a few feathers since they came back on campus. Hofstra needs a new sorority to get in trouble and be an example so they're cracking down. Dg should just lie low since everyone is trying to blame someone for their problems.

Deephers recruit on looks too. Talk to a few of them during recruitment time and you'll see.

APhi just has a few girls that get too wild and ruin the reputation for everyone else.

PhiSig is the sorority that really doesn't recruit based on looks. They also get made fun of a lot because of it.

I don't understand why the deephers are ranked so low. They've gotten chapter of the year two years straight and they got first in Greek Week last year (knocking Alpha Phi off their winning streak). They are also very active on campus and have made a strong presence on campus. The one comment about them being sloppy at the bars is a bit true but what sorority isn't sloppy sometimes. They deserve to be ranked higher. I think people are just jealous.

whatever you hear about phi eps pledging is true. not really sure how they didnt get caught doing what they do yet b/c its embarrassing being part of another sorority and them giving hu greek life a bad rep
