why do so few frats have houses?

If you look at the housing situation near campus, it's loaded with higher end condos and townhomes and massive cookie cutter apartments. It's pretty rare to find the typical "Frat Mansion" near campus that's open for someone to lease. Also, lot's of expansion has been happening the last 10 years. About half the fraternities were either re-colonized or colonized after 2008.

@uhh dude are u stupid... Phi Psi just got off probo on june 15, Sig chi on dis and so pro till jan 1, sig pi had a house on onyx street..... Lambda on prob till june 15, beta until jan 1... and if u wanna fact check look at :oregon fsl website

Considering the two houses that have recently been removed (Sig Pi and Phi Delt) were both unhoused and did things that were much more low key then the shenanigans that Phi Psi and Co. pull off on a regular basis I'm not sure what you're talking about.
