someone just told me lambda is losing their housde next term and that theta chi is moving in. does this mean lambda drops in the rankings and theta chi moves up?

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things i have ever heard. Yes, they are losing their house to Theta Chi, who owns it. Most likely next Fall. Lambda is moving into the Pi Kapps house.
