who are the alpha sigs?

Last weekend a bunch of my friends were saying they had a great time at the Alpha Sig party, but as far as I know there is no Alpha sigs here. Are they like a colony or were my friends just drunk and called them the wrong name? Do they have a house? I don't remember seeing them at rush.
