I was keeping an open mind after reading rankings on here, so I decided to check out the websites for each house. Pi Phi, AXO, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and maybe DG are the ones that looked really cool and bonded. They just seem so pretty and involved and classy.
I was disappointed in Alpha Phi because I was expecting more based on what I've heard. Also their tumblr was hacked. DDD and KD had some less-classy photos on their tumblrs where girls looked a little drunk/inappropriate or it was a lot of selfies (which don't scream sisterhood to me).

Analyzing Tumblrs is not helping you. Selfies are posted when sisters are traveling so we can see what everyone is up to. Grow up.

While I see reason in that concept, for many chapters (realize i didnt say all please when responding) it has become "who can do the coolest, and who's the hottest"if youre not a 6+ (this isn't me rating girls, this is your chapter's ego choosing who to glorify) then you dont make it on the Tumblr or its like a high school photo when girls tried hard or like a photo behind. you can argue this but do the photos really reflect what all the sisters are doing this summer? does the social media chair really put out an email following up on every girl in the chapter? or just the ones doing cool things and are hot and partying...

I would agree that the tumblrs are a ton of pictures alone over summer because they're studying abroad or its just a cute picture. No one is going to post the pictures on tumblr unless they're a quality picture, whether or not the girl is cute. That being said, when the tumblr is being critiqued this harshly I could see why whoever is running the page is posting pictures of the most attractive girls? I would just suggest not looking at the tumblrs to get a vibe for the houses, just wait until recruitment.

Everyone responding to this comment is totally missing the point of sorority tumblrs. They are all about marketing. Putting tons of selfies and pictures of girls alone isn't marketing great sisterhood. Putting tons of bikini pictures/bare asses isn't marketing tons of class. The op has a point that some tumblrs don't promote themselves as well as they could (tri Delt and kd). It's all about how you project your image and tumblrs are one of they key marketing tools in recruitment now so they are important whether you like it or not.

Both Tridelt and KD had a notably huge surplus of photos of girls by themselves. Other chapters had at LEAST 2+ girls in a lot of photos which you can't deny shows a lot more sisterhood than a page of girls taking selfies, by themselves, on their iphones.
Even if Tridelt and KD have a strong sisterhood (which they probably do!) they need to even out the ratio and look at what they're projecting. A lot of the photos that had more girls in them looked like the girls were a little faded/drunk. Tridelt had girls at a 21er with the "21" switched and they looked pretty drunk in addition to their FIRST picture being of girls in scantily clad outfits as a cop and a girl with no pants? It was weird. KD had girls dressed as playboy bunnies. It's all about the image you project.

You were tallying selfies by chapter? You will be walking into those houses having already judged them. That's why this site is more harmful than helpful. You're overthinking it!

You may think the op is overthinking things but then why is it that Tri Delt already removed most of their selfies and the pics mentioned above after this comment was made. Think what you may but the way sororities market themselves before recruitment is important.

All the chapters have selfies on their Tumblrs. I lost track of the bare butts on the Delta Gamma one. That's embarrassing!
