don't always trust the system

I fell in love with a house during recruitment and felt like I was at home with the girls all over me telling me how much they'd love if I was in and how I would do so well in it. A couple other houses were less enthusiastic but still wanted me and expressed that at pref night. I chose the house that I felt most comfortable in, and looking back I feel like I only felt comfortable because they gave me so much attention. As soon as I was actually in that all stopped, and every single day I regret initiating.

Don't forget PNMs, a lot of recruitment is fake. Consider that some girls might just be acting because you're an asset to the house, like you have good grades or you're pretty. My advice is to look at the houses that offer the most for your future and sisterhood, not the house that makes you feel all loved because you're the new girl craving that attention anyway.
