hazing?
by: GoodGrldoes hazing still happen at sororities? I'm looking forward to Greek life but honestly don't understand why humiliating or hurting ppl is funny.

its just annoying as a member of greek life to be constantly asked this. as a mid tier sorority girl with friends in every house i can say that i have never been hazed and the only form of "hazing" i have ever heard of hasn't been anything you would expect to find. the most common thing that the administration would refer to as hazing is a party where the new members drink (not being forced to drink or being put in dangerous over-drinking situations). from my experience no one is forced into doing things and no girls would ever put their own sisters, friends, or their house in danger of alcohol poisoning or getting themselves in trouble. you don't have to believe me, and most people don't, but THERE IS NO HAZING IN SORORITIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
