Sigma Nu has a long ways before they can be considered top. Sure they won some awards and have a new house but it's more about the guys who make up the chapter. They're all mostly nice guys but they're also pretty awkward and not as fun as the guys in SAE or Phi Psi. Same with Sig Ep, there older members who are graduating and graduated last year were a blast but their younger members are just ok.

Coming from a girls perspective I think sigma nu is awesome! They definitely are moving up and a lot of people seem to think so. They're sweet and cute guys. I'd choose them over the douchey top houses any day.

SigEp is for sure the undisputed top, Ph Psi used to be top but all the members that made them top dropped.

subtly throwing in kappa sig "hah". SAE has some douchy guys, but i can see them dominating if they can get their house. pretty committed to the fraternity, something you dont find in sig ep. beta took a hit but will remain to attract freshman girls in, and theyll be obsessed. Kappa sig doesnt offer much more than delta sig does except dsig has a house. girls like kappa sig but not like they like beta or phi psi

I see what you mean, but as much care free fun that sae and beta and phi psi have, I have still felt creeped out and disrespected. Haven't really felt that at sigep or signu or sig chi. It's not as carefree college mentality true but I feel comfortable there. Phi psi is pretty stupid for partying on prob. After recent events though I would definitely put signu above kappa sig and lambda (lol) and sig ep at least has a house.. sae
Guess it just depends what you consider what it means to be "top"

OP, if you're coming here next year I think you should think about more than joining a "Top House". Like one of the commentators above said, none of the so called "Top Houses" with the exception of Sig Ep won anything at the FSL awards. Remember, greek life is a lot of fun. But make sure that just having fun isn't the only thing that defines your fraternity experience. When you rush, first consider:
1. Brotherhood: do you like the guys
2. Involvement: what does the house offer
and only then should you consider social life

I complete agree with the person above me. Rush all the houses. Top/ middles houses tend to have pretty set cultures and internal organizations while lower houses tend to be more shapable because they are usually newer. It all depends what you want to get out of/ learn from your experience while in Greek life.

My opinion, a collab of good party rep and good people rep. No order within.
Upper top: Sig Ep, Sig Chi (so pro), Phi Psi (so pro)
Other top: SAE, Sig Nu, Beta (so pro)
Upper mid: Kappa Sig, Lambda (so pro) , Fiji
Mid: AEPi, Delta Sig (so pro) , Delts (so pro)
Then
DU, Phi Delt (so pro, Chi Psi, Theta Chi, Pi Kapp, ATO, Sigma Pi (so pro)

switch sig chi with SAE, move Sig Nu down to upper mid, move Fiji down to mid, and put delta sig and dtd in front of AEPi

I think it will be pretty much be SAE and Phi Psi that run everything this next year. SAE is always fun, and with Phi Psi finally getting sopro after almost two years, you know they'll be back to the way they were. Beta will be pretty good, Sigma Chi will be mediocre, Lambda is done, and Sigma Nu will do really well. Everyone else will either stay the same or be worse off.

I'd say to switch it to beta and phi psi running things. not hate to SAE I just believe they won't be as good because of their house situation. Phi Psi and Beta will both be getting off SoPro this fall and will be ready to rage, with a house to accompany their status.

lambda should be like 10th because of social probation and they are jerks. The only thing they have that is kinda cool is their DJ, even then the phi psi, and AEPi guys are better so who cares.

SAE is definitely not a number 1 house anymore...they don't even have a house and lost most of their live outs. They also say they've been redoing their house for like 3 years, pretty sure they lie about it all during rush.

i would put sigep into the top. There is not much dispute, they are fun and people love to party with them. They aren't crazy but they have a big following base.
I would also think it's time sigma Nu went up to upper, or upper mid. I've been to some great parties recently, along with anchorsplash, grades and sweeping fsl awards and the house.
Where were any of the "top tiers" in those awards? Sigep won rising chapter but that was about it.
