Secret to get in a top fraternity

Hi I will be a freshman this year and was curious how to get into a top fraternity like Lambda compared to middle tier or bottom tier fraternities like SN, D Sig, Fiji, Sig Chi. Why is Lambda so much more selective than these lower tier fraternities?

Lambda has been the top fraternity forever that’s why they are the most selective. Middle and bottom tier houses like those mentioned just want dues and bid anyone that walks though their door

You should have a back up plan because it is very very difficult to get a Lambda bid. ALL the others mentioned pretty much bid everyone but Lambda is super selective
