Spring rush or fall 2022?

by: TWP

A BUNCH of great girls withdrew today because they didn’t want to go back to the houses that they were invited back to. Do many rush as a sophomore or do you expect many chapters to be doing open bidding?
Very surprising that girls of this caliber would be let go.

not many people rerush, especially through formal. almost every chapter views rerushing as poor membership potential

only problem with rerushing is seeing the same girls that continue to deny you. It aint worth it.

Same story every year. It won't be any different next year and the houses that rejected you now won't be doing COB and even if they do it will be for 2 people that they already have in mind.

If they’re withdrawing for that reason then they aren’t great girls. They’re closed minded b’s

Isn’t the whole quota thing predicated on the fact that girls will go back to houses they didn’t like because those were their only choices? Maybe today’s student is more of a consumer and quota doesn’t work anymore? Of course there are also girls that stick it out until bid day and then just never show up at their house.

The trouble with this comment is that quota is the only way for the Greek system to survive. What do you expect to happen because "toady's student is more of a consumer"? People continue to drop because of perceived status and the Greek system just gets smaller. Not sure where you think you are going with this...

If quota truly worked then all houses would get the same number and you would never have a house not make quota. How does a less than full pc make the system stronger? Newer houses traditionally struggle since they don’t really have a reputation yet. Expansions are hard for this reason.

That's not even true. A few girls at most dropped out to enjoy the gdi life. Absolutely to nobody's loss.

That’s not true. Many sororities do continuous bidding in the winter and spring and it is much more relaxed

This is true but only for lower tier houses and maybe middle. If they dropped because they weren't happy the houses that COB won't be the ones these girls think they dessrve.
