i joined a frat but i’m not happy in it
by: TttttttI made mistakes during rush by not going to enough events and made a pretty quick decision to accept my bid. I had my doubts through pledgeship but just convinced myself it was the right fit. I have realized now that I don’t connect with these guys and I am unhappy. I was wondering if it is possible to drop and then rush another frat. (I am an initiated brother)

I say stick with it til the end of the term. Everyone has their doubts time to time but just remember why you joined your house compared to others. Think about what the guys you met at rush talked about and made you want to join originally. that helped me out and if you have a big brother I would recommend speaking to him or any older member for advice. Go out and meet some guys you like and convince them to pledge. Its not like the membership isnt changing every year with people pledging and graduating. Stop complaining about the quality of your current bros and go after some new guys that you would enjoy spending time with. Id also venture to say you probably havent spent enough time with all your brothers to fairly determine than there arent existing members who you could turn into close friends.
