do frats here actually haze?
by: curiousAs a sorority member, I know better than to ask "soooo, did you get hazed". But I've always been curious if hazing happens here in Oregon and if so how bad is it? My own boyfriend in a fraternity won't even tell me if they do or not.

@little, no they're referring to the FSL director. The closest thing to abuse ZGL ever experienced was having the wrong setting on his Sleep Number bed.

Honestly depends how on the chapter, but generally, yes, most frats haze. The severity of the hazing, again depends on the chapter. Most of it is something along the lines of a lot of yelling and quizing at pledges, keeping them in a dark room with loud music most of the night, and periodically making them do exercises, usually wall sits or planks on their elbows, so really not that bad.

Don't kid yourself...there is a reason so many frats are on suspension at UO. Please practice safe hazing.

I figured since it’s the PNW it can’t be thaaatt bad, it’s a bunch of Portland kids here. I always thought the UO Admin was just super sensitive and considered beer runs hazing therefor placing almost everyone on suspension.

Bruh lol this is Oregon @autheority and op. Frats get suspended for literally anything because nationals is scared of stories coming from colleges like penn state and states like Alabama/southern fraternities. If any hazing does go on here it is so small and along the lines of having someone be a designated driver or HELP clean with active brothers. This is what they suspend frats for because no real (negative/abusive) hazing goes on at Oregon. The last fraternity to do that was beta and I’m 99% sure hazing like what they had has completely been thrown out the window for the fear of suspension

Yeah I spelled it wrong because I’m not in your fraternity, but you obviously are in laammmmmda and made that hazing post because you named every top frat that isn’t you, and you also got mad because I spelled it wrong. Lambda confirms to haze and self rank on this site
